Feed up. Frustrated. Ready for a change.

Our clients, a young family, were frustrated with living in lockdown in Melbourne and decided to follow through with an idea that had been considering for a while.

It was time not only for a tree change but also a state change. This was no small undertaking for my clients. They needed to sell their family home whilst in and out of lockdowns, find a new home in a state they were unfamiliar with and pack up and move their family of four.

Our clients after researching Buyer Agents online were really attracted to our 5 Star Google Reviews. They reached out to us and found our expertise was supported by the fact that our Buyer Agents were all parents, and our Director as a mother of 3 boys, understood perfectly the needs of a family of four, with two young sons. They were convinced.

Wanting a tree change, Katherine knew the Adelaide Hills was where they needed to go. Stock levels were low all throughout Adelaide but not more so than the Hills. We had been searching for 2 months. The husband and wife had a keen eye and appreciation for design and nothing quite ticked all their boxes.

During the search phase, they had sold their home in Victoria and moved to Adelaide and were living in an Air BnB.

It was only through constant contact with local selling agents that we found out about an off-market home in Aldgate just as it hit the agent’s books. Aldgate located in The Hills has a lovely village feel and is 21kms from the CBD.

Katherine was confident this property was the one:

  • Great area
  • Plenty of space
  • Garden
  • Pool
  • Tennis Court

It was a well-loved but tired family home; however, the bones of this house were perfect and it only need a cosmetic refresh. Even though our clients hadn’t planned on this we knew we had to show it to them. One inspection and they were in love. They could see all that it had to offer and knew they could live there whilst they made it into the dream home.

Properties like this don’t come up often in the Hills and Katherine set to work making it happen. A Building and Pest inspection was conducted and one of our preferred conveyancers reviewed the contracts. Everything came up roses.

Our clients were in a strong financial position, so we submitted an unconditional offer with a 60-day settlement. The vendor said yes and our clients were now the owners of an amazing home that never made it to market.

This had been a big physical and emotional move for our clients, and they were over the moon to have this wonderful family home.
