We were engaged by interstate clients to find and secure them a solid investment with strong capital growth potential. ⁠⁠ They wanted a quality home, one with character and that would appeal for years to come. 


⁠⁠In an incredibly competitive market with limited stock we didn’t rush and made sure we found and bought the right property for the right price. It can be difficult as a buyer to not let your emotions make a bad decision. We missed out on a property or two, but when investing it is important to buy smart not with heart. 

We found a beautiful 1940’s Art Deco home with character features throughout in Edwardstown, an area of rising popularity. Edwardstown is an inner southern-western suburb located approximately 6 kilometres from the CBD. This makes it a short 15–20-minute commute to town and with public transport nearby, a short distance to the beach and plenty of shopping facilities at hand it will be very popular with tenants.  

We went to the first public open and there was a line over 40 metres long with people waiting to inspect! And that’s all it took, one open. The selling agent organised a best offer campaign and all the interested parties got ready to throw their hats in the ring.  

Our recommended conveyancer reviewed the contract and we used our strong relationship with the agent to ensure we were in the box seat for appealing to the vendor’s wants and needs for this sale. We played our best card and walked away with the prize. 

We arranged a building and pest inspection during the cooling-off period to ensure the property was structural sound.  Our clients were holding their breath the whole time, and couldn’t believe it when we told them the keys were there. 

We ran a short rental campaign, with an open held prior to settlement, we received a huge amount of enquiry and strong attendance at the open and that’s all it took.  The owner was able to consider multiple applications once we had thoroughly checked and vetted them and provided a shortlist of approved tenants.  

We look forward to seeing this gorgeous property be home to our new tenants and a successful, solid investment for our clients for years to come.
